Airship Sovereignity!

Description

Subordinate to the eternal reign of the only true princess, CELESTIA!
Also: airships are great, and that's the only reason I need to include them.

Worktime: Way too long, as always.

I really hope I got the perspective and anatomy on Celestia right, because by now I suffer from a serious case of own-picture-blindness after staring at it for that long.
I also apologize for the slightly uninspired propaganda text, I couldn't come up with anything better D:

Besides that, I'm pretty happy with it :D
I'm also open for critical feedback as always!

That element frequently captures my imagination when I think about this setting. The Absolutist Monarchy of a immortal queen who stayed in power for millions of years, since long before any of her subjects was born, and will stay in power "for ever". As far as anyone alive is concerned. A Divine Ruler who, literally, makes the sun raise every morning.

I deeply love this setting, and it has nothing to do with the character being horses (I have nothing AGAINST the many pornographic satires around Equestria, far from me to stigmatize ANY sexual fantasy. I never found one worse than mine, and I will die without apologise for liking the sort of stories I like: still, that said, is NOT the pony-girl/furry fetish what makes this particular setting special for my adult eyes). This immortal ruler, with her absolute Political power, reinforced by magic, governing a caste society, is what makes the worldbuilding deeply interesting to me.

Friendship as a theme is, well, excuse the obscene word: universal. Unlike romantic love, friendship is a "Philosophical" topic since before Plato. Lots of societies may exist without much place for relation between fathers and their children, romantic feelings between sexual partners, private property, and a number of other things we take for granted. But I doubt any human society could exist without the concept of friendship. Therefore, THAT was a great decision from the authors of My Little Pony too. Friendship is a solid core-stone for magic.

Still, the Political and social structure of society in Equestria really catches my attention even more. I keep thinking about how it would translate adapted for other sorts of stories, with adult audiences in mind. Making it sci-fantasy, for instance.
